TrialSync

One Platform. All Wearables. Real-Time Clinical Insights.

Sync every signal

Monitor what matters

Accelerate trials with real-time insight

What is TrialSync?

Built by Evidence2Health, TrialSync is a proprietary suite of applications designed to seamlessly integrate wearable device data into clinical trials. Built for modern research needs, the current MVP includes native iOS and Apple Watch applications that enable secure real-time and historical data collection, including vitals, activity metrics, single-lead ECGs, and high-resolution raw sensor streams such as gyroscope and accelerometer data, all transmitted to centralized cloud infrastructure for advanced analytics and monitoring. While presently deployed within the Apple ecosystem, TrialSync is architected as a modular, device-agnostic platform and can be customized to integrate additional wearable systems such as Fitbit, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch, Garmin, and other research-grade devices based on sponsor and study requirements, delivering a scalable, end-to-end solution for wearable-powered clinical research.

Comprehensive Wearable Data Collection

TrialSync integrates directly with Apple Health and Apple Watch to securely collect:

• Step count (historical + daily)
• Active calories (hsitorical + daily)
• Workout sessions (hsitorical + daily)
• Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) (hsitorical + daily)
• Heart rate (historical + real-time)
• Single-lead Apple Watch ECGs (hsitorical + daily)
• Live gyroscope data
• Live accelerometer data

All data is encrypted and securely transmitted to the cloud infrastructure for centralized processing and analysis.

Real-Time Sensor Streaming

When the Apple Watch app is active, TrialSync streams:

• Gyroscope data
• Accelerometer data
• Live heart rate

The data is transmitted to the companion iPhone app and securely written to cloud storage in real time.

This enables high-resolution biomechanical and physiologic analysis beyond traditional wearable metrics.

Research-Grade Digital Task Modules

TrialSync includes structured activity modules designed for clinical and behavioral research.

Tasks can be customized by duration and frequency according to study protocol.

Current Activity Modules:

  • Sitting Task

  • Standing Task

  • Walking Task

Participants perform the task while wearing the watch with the app open.
Gyroscope, accelerometer, and heart rate data are collected continuously and processed in the cloud to extract advanced mobility and stability metrics.

Beyond Passive Monitoring

Speech Task

Users read structured text presented on screen.
Audio is recorded and uploaded for speech pattern and neurologic analysis.

Eyeball Movement Tracking

Users follow a moving red dot on screen.
Front camera video is captured and securely uploaded for eye-tracking analysis.

Stability Task

Users hold the iPhone steady while keeping a crosshair centered on screen.
Gyroscope data is uploaded to cloud for postural and stability analysis.

One App. Multiple Studies.

TrialSync allows a single participant to be enrolled in multiple research studies using the same application.

Features include:

• Study-specific task configuration
• Centralized participant identity management
• Segregated study data pipelines
• Secure multi-study cloud storage

This eliminates redundant app development and simplifies longitudinal participant engagement.

While the current MVP supports the Apple ecosystem (iOS + WatchOS), TrialSync architecture supports expansion to Android smartphones, and Fitbits, Samsung watches, Google Pixel watches, and custom research wearables,

Cross-platform wearable software ecosystems can be deployed based on requirements.
